Hyperthermia is the reaction of a human body to an increased temperature when it produces more heat than it can dissipate. The work highlights the role climate and temperature play in the production and preservation of knowledge in a time of global warming. It conflates varying biological and mechanical systems to a point where subject matter becomes interchangeable: data as an anthropological object, the museum object as a body and the body as systemic data. Whilst each has an ideal temperature in terms of function and lifespan, we live in a changing world where thermoregulation is increasingly at stake.
